About the Role
The Senior Back-End Developer will design, develop, and optimize scalable back-end systems for web and mobile applications supporting a new business initiative. This role ensures platform reliability, security, and high performance, while collaborating closely with front-end, product, and infrastructure teams. The position is fully remote, requiring candidates to work within the Eastern or Central U.S. time zones.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance back-end systems, APIs, and databases.
- Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to deliver integrated features and services.
- Architect scalable, secure, and efficient server-side solutions for high transaction volumes.
- Implement best practices for code quality, automated testing, and deployment, including code reviews.
- Mentor peers and promote a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Stay informed on emerging back-end technologies, blockchain, and fintech trends to recommend innovative improvements.
Required Skills
- 7+ years of professional back-end development experience.
- Proficiency in C# and .NET development.
- Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns, and software engineering principles.
- Experience with SQL databases and database optimization.
- Familiarity with caching and messaging systems such as Redis, SQS, or Kafka.
- Knowledge of web APIs and API integration.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in teams.
- Experience with AWS cloud services.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to financial markets, brokerages, crypto, or mortgage technologies.
- Prior experience contributing to fintech or high-performance computing platforms.
