Job Overview
The Commando team, part of the IT pre-trade department, develops and supports pricing tools, risk analysis, and profit & loss (PnL) applications used by trading desks and financial engineers in both fixed income and equity derivatives.
This team works in an agile way to quickly deliver front-office solutions for various small to medium projects across the USA.
The New York team focuses on creating and maintaining tactical tools such as market risk hedging spreadsheets, interest rate volatility calibration spreadsheets, and real-time market data repositories for pricing fixed income products.
Your Responsibilities

Develop applications related to structured products.

Ensure seamless data flow and integration between trading and settlement systems.

Collaborate with exotic product traders to understand their requirements and translate these into system features.

Work closely with the Quant team to enhance pricing models for local currencies.

Provide support to trading desks and lead design and implementation of projects.

Follow agile development practices and continuous delivery methods.

Ensure thorough testing of code.

Adhere to delivery schedules and change management processes.

Work collaboratively with other teams such as networks, systems, quality assurance, support, architects, and developers.

Improve existing processes to reduce support efforts.

Maintain and optimize pricing tools while monitoring their performance.

Provide clear and consistent reporting to clients and management.

Ensure that business requirements are met effectively.

Apply IT best practices to enhance development quality.
Your Profile

Master’s degree or equivalent (business, engineering, or university).
Your Skills

3 to 5 years of developer experience in finance.

Strong skills in C# or Python programming.

Solid experience with VBA development.

Familiarity with financial products, trading systems, and industry processes.

Good understanding of risk analysis and pricing.

Strong analytical and algorithmic abilities.

Effective written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to technical or business audiences.

Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders like traders, middle office, and developers.

Good communicator and able to present ideas clearly and defend your views convincingly.

Detail-oriented, proactive, able to handle multiple tasks under pressure, and quick to learn.

Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
