Digital Technology at United

About the Role: Developer

As a Developer, you’ll be key in aligning business goals with tech solutions. You’ll work independently or with guidance to design, build, and support software systems that power our core operations.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and enhance software systems

  • Work with teams to understand and meet business needs

  • Assist senior developers and contribute to project success

  • Write secure, well-documented, and tested code

  • Conduct code reviews and resolve software issues

  • Keep current with tech trends and apply best practices

What You’ll Need (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

  • 3–5 years of experience in software development in an Agile environment

  • Strong skills in .NET Framework/Core, SQL, NoSQL, and design patterns

  • Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway)

  • Familiar with DevOps, CI/CD, and scripting (Git, Python, Bash, PowerShell)

  • Proficient in backend API development and object-oriented design

  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

  • Must pass interview and demonstrate reliable attendance

Nice to Have (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Experience in the airline industry

  • Proficiency with AWS and front-end tools like React.js

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base pay: $87,780 – $119,680 (dependent on experience and qualifications)

  • Eligible for bonuses and long-term incentives
