About the Role

The Mid-Level Software Engineer – Developer will join the Government Vehicle Health Management Systems (GVHMS) team in Hazelwood, Missouri, supporting Boeing Global Services (BGS) software engineering efforts. This role focuses on developing cloud-based microservices within a CI/CD pipeline using agile methodologies. The position requires onsite work and involves all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain non-embedded software that complies with industry, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Enhance and optimize software functionalities for system integration.
  • Develop and document software architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs.
  • Troubleshoot and debug software issues to maintain reliability and efficiency.
  • Handle user inquiries and analyze feedback to improve software.
  • Implement emerging technologies and adapt to evolving regulations relevant to software development.
  • Establish and improve software development processes, tools, and performance metrics aligned with organizational goals.
  • Conduct and document software R&D projects.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in software framework design and development.
  • Strong foundation in Object-Oriented Design principles.
  • Proficiency in C/C# and ASP.NET development.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
  • Willingness to work 100% onsite in Hazelwood, Missouri.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, data science, or related fields.
  • Experience with .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, and microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, PCF, OpenShift, or AWS.
