About the Role
The Mid-Level Software Engineer – Developer will join the Government Vehicle Health Management Systems (GVHMS) team in Hazelwood, Missouri, supporting Boeing Global Services (BGS) software engineering efforts. This role focuses on developing cloud-based microservices within a CI/CD pipeline using agile methodologies. The position requires onsite work and involves all phases of the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain non-embedded software that complies with industry, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Enhance and optimize software functionalities for system integration.
- Develop and document software architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs.
- Troubleshoot and debug software issues to maintain reliability and efficiency.
- Handle user inquiries and analyze feedback to improve software.
- Implement emerging technologies and adapt to evolving regulations relevant to software development.
- Establish and improve software development processes, tools, and performance metrics aligned with organizational goals.
- Conduct and document software R&D projects.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in software framework design and development.
- Strong foundation in Object-Oriented Design principles.
- Proficiency in C/C# and ASP.NET development.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
- Willingness to work 100% onsite in Hazelwood, Missouri.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, data science, or related fields.
- Experience with .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, PCF, OpenShift, or AWS.
